THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION
A CRIME FAMILY OPERATING ON THE TAXPAYER'S DIME
INTRODUCTION
In Florida lies an area known as "The Iron Triangle." Its heart, the towns of Starke and Raiford, are prison communities; almost all residents are somehow connected to the Florida Department of Correction.
The history of corruption within the Florida Department of Correction can be traced back to the abolition of slavery. Murders and barbaric abuse of inmates has been commonplace. So too has been the abuse of noncompliant officers at the hands of their corrupt superiors. The crimes committed by morally-bankrupt DOC officials against inmates, other staff members, and the public at large covers the entire State of Florida Penal Code.
The Iron Triangle Accountability Project, Inc. was founded upon social conscience to bring about much-needed changes within our prisons. With the help of our many supporters from all walks of life, a difference can be made for the benefit of all inmates and staff alike.
OUR MISSION
· To force the DOC, as a State Government Agency, to open all its records and files to us taxpayers who subsidize its operation.
· To demand of federal and state law enforcement officials the commencement of criminal prosecutions against each and every former and current DOC official who has committed crimes against inmates and other DOC staff members.
· To work with Secretary Walter McNeil and other officials to end once and for all the many years of corruption within the Florida DOC.
· To create a more humane and safer environment for all DOC inmates and staff members.
· To assist released ex-offenders in overcoming their status as such, and to help them successfully reintegrate back into free society.
· To expand our efforts to such other states as Texas, California, New York, Missouri, and others where the prison systems also fail inmates, staff, and the public as a whole.
